Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers regarding transparency, information verification, and accountability in public communication.

Transparency is the foundation of public trust. In the economic and social domains, it ensures decisions are made based on correct and accessible information, reducing the space for misinterpretation and building a more resilient society. The public accountability of institutions and the media depends directly on the degree of transparency they provide.

Misinformation can lead to poor decision-making at both individual and collective levels, can erode trust in institutions, and can polarize public opinion. In the economy, it can affect markets and investments. In society, it can amplify tensions and hinder constructive dialogue. Critical analysis of sources is essential to mitigate these risks.

Verifying information involves several steps: identifying the original source, checking its authority and credibility, seeking confirmation from independent and reliable sources, and analyzing the context. It is important to avoid sharing information before performing this verification, thereby contributing to responsible public communication.

Public communication, both from institutions and the media, has the crucial role of providing clear, accurate, and timely information. Through transparency and accessibility, it limits the spread of misinformation. Ethical and fact-based communication is a social responsibility that strengthens the democratic fabric.

You can contribute by applying critical analysis to the information you encounter, by informing yourself from diverse and credible sources, and by not sharing content without verifying it. Questioning sources and promoting dialogue based on facts are simple yet powerful actions that support transparency and public accountability.

From an Idea to a Pillar of Transparency: Our Story

The reportdeniers.com project was born from observing a fundamental need in the Romanian public space: access to verified information and responsible communication. In 2020, we started as a small initiative, focused on the critical analysis of public discourse in the economic field, highlighting how crucial transparency is for citizen trust and for making informed decisions.

Our first major step was launching a resource platform to guide information verification. We developed practical guides and organized the first training sessions for journalists and public communicators, emphasizing the risks of misinformation, whether unintentional or intentional. This stage solidified our understanding of public responsibility in communication.

In 2022, we expanded our scope into the social sphere as well, publishing case studies that illustrated the impact of unfounded narratives on community cohesion. Collaborations with independent experts brought essential analytical depth, and the project gained recognition as a credible source for objective analysis.

Today, we are strengthening our position as a reference point for promoting a culture of transparency. We continue to invest in educational tools and partnerships that increase awareness about the importance of source verification, always emphasizing constructive narrative and the development of a better-informed society.
